After a successful launch and campaign to become leading in the dairy industry, Vesper is now expanding rapidly. We’re setting out to capture other commodity markets, provide new service offerings, and continue to delight our customers with the greatest commodity intelligence product on the market.

What you will be doing 

Vesper is working towards accelerated growth over the next two years. We are looking for a VP of Sales who will play a critical role to realise this ambition. 

We aim to accelerate our current sales growth, expand our successful inside sales efforts while at the same time opening up a variety of additional channels. The VP of Sales will hold full responsibility for all (global) sales efforts and new deals, and together with our Marketing and Customer Success teams, for Vesper’s full revenue growth.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Achieve ambitious global sales growth goals 
  • Expand our Inside Sales Team – hire and onboard junior and senior sales professionals
  • Build an Enterprise Sales team focused on upselling and partnerships with corporate clients
  • Expand recently started global hubs abroad (mostly enterprise sales)
  • Set up indirect sales channel from scratch
  • Manage Partnership Managers responsible for data, tech, commercial and market introduction partnerships
  • Set up a Sales Ops function to support the (inside) sales team with best practice metrics and methodology
  • Build a rockstar sales team, incl. incentives, targets, training and culture initiatives
  • Implement, manage and train team members in best practice sales methodology and tech stack (e.g., Hubspot, Gong, Outreach, ZoomInfo)
  • Understand SaaS sales (growth) metrics and be able to discuss those on C- and VC investor level

 

What you will bring

  • Previous experience scaling a sales organization, preferably also internationally
  • Experience in both inside sales as well as enterprise sales and account management
  • Team leadership – you have built and managed inclusive, global teams of A-player sales professionals
  • Knowledge of the SaaS / Software industry 
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in B2B/SaaS sales 
  • Be entrepreneurial to build functions and processes from scratch
  • Be able to work in a dynamic and volatile scale-up environment
  • Be able to work directly with C-level executives and manage ofttimes conflicting stakeholder input
  • Be able to listen and work within a low hierarchy, multifunctional organization
  • Understand marketing and customer success to be able to be jointly responsible for total revenue development
