Sales Manager (Remote)

In order to support our growth and ambition to become a global organisation, we are expanding our team in different regions of the world. We are seasoned commercial professional in the area of Chicago. As our new Sales Manager, you will build the bridge between Vesper and your local region. You will work directly with our Sales team in our global HQ in Amsterdam and local partners and clients in your region. Your mission is to utilise your existing network and knowledge of the local market to set up Vesper’s business, build partnerships with local strategic players and resellers and agents, and increase local users and customer base. Ultimately, you person will be the start of Vesper local office and hire several commercial/sales roles to serve the local markets.

What you will be doing

  • Work hand in hand with Vesper HQ to monitor the expansion of the business in the assigned region. Main stakeholders – CEO, COO, HQ sales and marketing team
  • Reach out to network and pitch Vesper to increase user base in assigned regions in the Dairy and Vegetable Oils industries
  • Set up and develop strategic partnership in specific regions
  • Increase Vesper’s visibility and promote the platform to potential customers
  • Lay the groundwork for a local sales office in the assigned region

What you will bring

  • 3+ years of experience in the Dairy or Vegetable Oils industries
  • Proven track record in sales and business development
  • Solid knowledge of the industry and the key players
  • Ability to go to clients and build and maintain business relationships
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve the business
  • Strong interpersonal relationship management and oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in building sales teams from scratch and manage them
  • Ability to reach out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish and overall collaborative working relationship
  • Eager to learn and develop yourself and others around you
  • Interest in the start-up ecosystem, or experience working at a start-up
  • Bold and not afraid to build a new market for Vesper from scratch
  • Target driven and goal oriented
